By accessing or using Dede ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

Dede is an AI character chat platform that allows users to have conversations with AI-powered characters — including mentors, friends, storytellers, and fictional personas. Conversations are generated by large language models and do not represent real people, entities, or opinions.

AI-generated content is produced automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or inconsistent. Dede does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any AI-generated responses.

To access certain features you must create an account. By creating an account you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• Not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access

Free tier: Dede offers a free tier with limited message access per character. Free users can browse all characters and try conversations within the limits.

Premium: By subscribing to a Premium plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.

• Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period
• You can cancel at any time — access continues until the period ends
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law
• We may change pricing with reasonable prior notice
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or reproduce AI model weights or outputs at scale
• Circumvent access controls, rate limits, or subscription restrictions
• Use automated tools to interact with the Service without our consent
• Impersonate real individuals or organisations in a deceptive manner
• Generate or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

Conversations on Dede are powered by third-party AI language models. By using the Service you acknowledge that:

• AI characters are fictional and do not represent real people
• AI responses may be inaccurate, biased, or unexpected
• You should not rely on AI responses for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions
• We may log and review conversations to improve safety and quality
• You retain responsibility for how you use or act on AI-generated content

All platform content — including design, code, branding, and character assets — is the property of Dede and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for non-commercial purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any platform content without explicit written permission.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dede shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
