By accessing or using Dede ("the Service"), operated by 8x Socials, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
Dede is an AI character chat platform that allows users to have conversations with AI-powered characters — including mentors, friends, storytellers, and fictional personas. Conversations are generated by large language models and do not represent real people, entities, or opinions.
AI-generated content is produced automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate, unexpected, or inconsistent. Dede does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of any AI-generated responses.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service.
To access certain features you must create an account. By creating an account you agree to:
Free tier: Dede offers a free tier with limited message access per character. Free users can browse all characters and try conversations within the limits.
Premium: By subscribing to a Premium plan, you agree to pay the applicable fees. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.
General rule. All subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable as a general rule. When you cancel, your Premium access remains active until the end of the current billing period — you will not be charged again, but fees already collected for that period are not returned. Cancellation does not delete your account or conversation history.
Exceptions — when refunds may be issued. Notwithstanding the general rule above, we may issue a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:
EU, EEA, and UK residents. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a digital services contract within fourteen (14) days of purchase, without giving any reason. By completing your purchase and accessing Dede's Premium features, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the service and acknowledge that you lose this withdrawal right once the content has been made available to you, unless applicable law provides otherwise. If you have not yet accessed the service, you retain your full right of withdrawal for the fourteen-day period. Refunds under this right will be processed within fourteen (14) days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used to subscribe.
App store purchases. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing and refund requests are handled directly by Apple or Google under their respective policies. Dede is not able to process refunds for app store transactions. Please visit Apple Support or Google Play Help to initiate a refund request.
How to request a refund. Contact us through the support form at dede.chat/support. Please include your registered email address, the date of purchase, the reason for your request, and any supporting details. We will review your request and respond within five (5) business days.
Chargebacks. If you initiate a payment dispute or chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account pending the outcome of that dispute. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly without involving a third party — please reach out to our support team first.
Changes to this policy. We may update this section from time to time. Where changes are material, we will provide reasonable advance notice. Continued use of Premium after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.

Conversations on Dede are powered by third-party AI language models. By using the Service you acknowledge that:
All platform content — including design, code, branding, and character assets — is the property of Dede and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for non-commercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any platform content without explicit written permission.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dede shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, please submit a report via our Support page with sufficient detail to identify the allegedly infringing material and your ownership claim. We will review valid requests promptly.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
In accordance with applicable laws, including the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we have appointed a Grievance Officer to address any concerns or complaints:
